one part just wont strip

I know I saw a thread just like this a while back but I can't find it anywhere on here.

Anyway, I have a WGP trilogy frame that just won't strip no matter what I do. At first I thought there was some kind of coating on it that was making it do this so I soaked it in lacquer thinner for 30 minutes followed by a lye bath. Then I tried beadblasting it followed by a lye bath but it still wouldn't strip. I even left it in the lye bath for an hour one time (monitoring it closely of course) and still nothing.

I'm reluctant to try sanding since that wouldn't get the anno out of all the screw holes, however it is my part so I'd be willing to try that if I have to.

Its cast aluminum and powdercoated. Stop where you are at, b/c it wont anodize right. Been there, done that.

If you want to strip powdercoating, go to an auto parts store, and buy Permatex gasket remover. It comes in a spray can (same size as spray paint can)
