How to calibrate a pH tester? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I have the calibration sheet with the tester and it says dip it in a 4.0 pH buffer solution. What is that? Is there something out there that has a known pH that I can test off of? Any help would help. Thanks

overtime the ph will start to steer up or down and the ph reading will be inaccurate. so you have to get some buffer solution to calibrate the tester.

just order some of the PH 4.0 Buffer Solution, also get ph 7.0 buffer solution.

You get it at most any chemicals supply... a small bottle is only a couple of bucks.
