Hi!
First of all I'd like to say hi, cos im new here. I have a question regarding the battery charger. I know that i need one with as much manual control as i can get. The problem is that all the chargers i found have this short circuit safety feature. I'd like to know if putting electrodes into sulphuric acid solution would short circuit the charger and shut it down? I'm not an expert but annodising is "work" and tha same thing is charging a battery, so the charger should not "feel" too much difference, right? I'm thinking about this little fella: http://allegro.pl/item318789098_pros...du_polski.html i know it's in polish but basic specs are quite obvious or should i go with a specialized DC power supply? http://allegro.pl/item313346302__zas...at_od_ss_.html I know that 5A could be insufficient to anno a paintball marker body...yes, I'm going to start a garage-size anno shop mostly for paintball guns. thank you for any comments |

You really need a CC/CV power source. The first one won't cut it, but the second one is the right type, but too small.
For PB guns, you're going to need a 10A / 15V minimum... I use a 20A / 30V Mastec, and have had good results. They are available on Ebay for ~$250 USD.

thank you acidrain
damn, getting one of these shipped to Poland would be a pain... On polish ebay I found a 0-30V 0-10A for 150$. http://allegro.pl/item316166265_zasi...0v_0_10a_.html I think it's a Mastech. |

Only problem is if they are "automatic chargers". That would cause a shutdown of the unit part way through ano.

how difficult it is to achieve constant results when dividing a paintball gun into let's say two batches of parts? Will I be able to match colors more or less, when carefully managing temps and current values?
All I can afford right now is a 13.8V 5A lab power supply (that's 40$ Of course I'll practice with lots of aluminum leftovers, diferent shapes and sizes, before I anno my 05 cyborg |
