Vinyl Film

Hiya guys, i've got a couple of questions to ask!

Does the forum still have any active members?

First question is related to vinyl masking, can anyone recommend a specific type of vinyl film?
I read that some peel when bleaching and others don't seal the edges correctly.

3-M Graphics Film is what I use. Be sure to use the permanent adhesion type, and I've found the heavier the vinyl, the better.

Do you think this stuff would be any good for the job?
1m x 610mm Self Adhesive Vinyl Roll (Film/Sign/Cutter) on eBay, also, Sign-Making, Printing Graphic Arts, Business, Office Industrial (end time 01-Jun-08 19:13:13 BST)

PS: I know a lot of you guys do stuff like paintball guns and what not, I mainly get alu. PC cases done.

PPS: Might sound odd, but has anyone ever painted a metal flake directly over an anodised part?

I wouldn't suggest anything but 3-M graphic film. When I bought my cutter used, it came with many random rolls. I tried them all and only one really worked... 3-M graphic film. Been using that ever since with great results.
If you can't find any locally, I could get some for you and ship directly.

I went down to a local vinyl / printing place today and told them I was after some vinyl that would stick to metal.. the guy said none of their stuff would adhere to metal!
He mentioned aluminum printing (screen printing?), he said he could do that.

I'll try a different place tomorrow, might have more luck!
