Default weird fading around the edges

I've been getting a strange fading around the edges on some of my parts. I can't be positive that this is what's causing it, but it appears that when I pull certain parts out of the dye early on to check what the color looks like the areas that temporarily dry off don't want to absorb dye again when I put them back in the dye. They're only out of the tank for a few seconds and I've always been doing this with no problems so I can't figure out what the common denominator is.

    Any help is appreciated,

I know, I keep forgetting to re-install it on my laptop, that and I've been much busier than preferable recently.

    Meanwhile...

My degreser's pretty new so I'm not so sure that's the problem. I just realized that I've only been noticing it on gloss parts. I don't think it's polishing compound though because the color is faded on the edges but dyes just fine in all the nooks and crannies which is the opposite of what I'd normally expect from leftover polishing compund (right?). I'll get some pictures up tomorrow.

Just another reason I dont like doing gloss,

Could your dye be too hot?
What about shadowing... are your parts well seperated during ano?
    I do things.

I havent gotten that fading any more, although I think it could've been oxidation forming on the parts because I noticed a similar pattern of oxide forming prior to the acid bath, I just wiped and/or desmutted them away and it seemed to work. If I get it agian and can't figure it out I'll post up pictures.
