Default Smallest Anodizing Tank

What are the smallest anodizing/dye tanks that will work well? I'm only going to anodize a few small aluminum parts that are about 1 square inch or smaller. Can I get good results with a tank that's about a quart in size or should I go bigger? How about a 1/2 gallon tank?

Can the GP plate be cut in half or cut down to fit in a mason jar? It's just an aluminum plate, right?

Thanks,
Giffy

Yes, you can anodize in a smaller unit, but why? It really doesn't matter if you have 2-3 gallons. In fact, it actually helps to have more liquid, because it takes much longer to heat up the solution. Keep it at 72 f.

The Plates are made of a special lead. Yes, you could cut them in half, but no point really.
