Default question regarding long storage of solution

Hello, I have a copy chrome kit that I havent used in two years. When I opened the container with the solution it was still green however there was a 1/4" or so of a caked residue on the bottom of the container. Is this normal? should I reagitate it back into the solution or is this some sort of contaminate from previous plating projects? Thanks for your input

Default Re: question regarding long storage of solution

My suggestion would be to add the d/s water that has evaporated heat the solution up to approx 170 or better while cooling be sure to stir the solution to help dissolve the crystals . Let the solution sit for 24 hours to cool then heat to 75 to 110 and plate a dummy item to check for brightness add brightener as needed
