Default having problems !!!!

I know that this can not be this difficult to do. I purchased the copy chrome kit for suncatchers. I have had items plated before and they never had to buff any of it. It just came out bright and shiney. With glass you are not going to be able to buff it due to the wire work. I have had my stuff come out yellowish, black, antique looking it's not pretty and brite like I think it should be. I am at the end of my rope with all and wishing I would have never attemped to do this. If I add more brightener to the tank will this help? I don't feel that the manuel is clear in explaning things, or I just don't get it all. Can you help me?? Thanks toddtracb

I soak the piece in the degreaser for about 5 min, rinse in distilled water, then in the pickle #4 for a few min, rinse(distilled) then in the flash copper for 15 min, rinse(distilled) and then in the copy chrome for 15 min.
The copper comes out good but the chrome is bad. Yesterday when I was giving this a try I noticed that at times there was no voltage reading on the rectifier but it showed amps., and then both needles were jumping up and and down. I checked my connections they seem to be fine. Was wondering if there might be a problem witht he rectifier. I hve ordered the PH tester. I just cant believe that the PH would be out of balance already. If the Copy chorme gets to hot will it demish the chrome brightener? The one angle that I did came out dark almost antique looking and I was at 1/2 amp.
Thx

Have you followed the manual and done your learning curve trials on pieces of copper tube? How did they turn out?
