What kit to use

I have a chrome trunk lid sill strip 4 feet long x 1 inch wide that is in sad shape and in need of re-plating.The base metal is brass and there are a few pit mark issues.I don't have facilities for dipping so I'm wondering if the plug and plate kit would work.The sill would be installed next to real chrome pieces on either side,will there be a difference in color? In this case I would not use the pnp it will not give you the thickness and coverage necessary
for this typ of project. I have used the copy chrome and had it installed next to many triple chrome items and have not had a problem with color difference. This piece you are talking about should be dipped for maximum coverage
