    Default Platinum removal

    Hi all, can platinum be removed diy style as i have a platinum plated golf club i want to refinish?

    Any advice would be welcome, what i have found so far suggests chemicals will not work.

    First what is your base metal because this will determined which procedure to use for the removal platinum. Have you thought reverse current?

    Hi, i have been told it is actually nickel plated, have found out how to do it, thanks.

    NICKEL metal- High Purity element -POWDER #1 -50g fine on eBay (end time 02-Oct-09 10:22:18 BST)

    will this be ok to use as a nickel solution added with vinegar

    Not sure what you're trying to do with that powder, but if you want to strip nickel you need this:
