My power supply doesn't show the C.C. it only shows the C.V. do i have to shorted out my black wire by touching the GND OUTPUT ?
OPERATIONS Ground Connection Depending on the application, the power supply output terminals can be grounded in any one of the following grounding conditions : Negative ground – black (-) negative terminal is shorted with green GND terminal. Positive ground – red (+) positive terminal is shorted with green GND terminal. Floating ground – green terminal is not shorted with any of the output terminals. Remarks : When operating this power supply as a floating ground, high impedance leakage can exist between the power supply circuitry and the chassis ground. Basic Mode of Operation This power supply is designed to operate as a constant voltage source or as a constant current source. Automatic crossover to either mode of operation occurs when the load condition changes as following : Last edited by eojthekid; 10-31-2009 at 06:50 PM. |

Is this a duplicate post?
No, don't connect the green post to anything. I don't much care for the CC setup procedure (shorting leads) but it's described in your manual. Read the paragraph headed "Presetting Current Limiting Value (CC)". Most other power supplies have you turn the voltage knob(s) all the way up, current all the way down, turn on the PS then set the current with the amp knob(s). I'm not sure why they refer to the knobs as "volume". Probably a Chinglish translation. http://www.caswellplating.com/kits/i...5ampccinst.pdf |
