You put them in the EN bath, the balls float on top and reduce the fumes.

    Thumbs up Re: Misting Balls

    Hello,
My first question why are you using mist balls? Is recommended by chemical technical data sheets? It may reduce some chemical reaction gas. Now, when you place a part into the EN tank do you see a lot small bubbles alike when you open up a soda bottle? If so, it would not hurt to use the mist balls because any out gassing is not health. Write back.

Actually, in the EN kit we use them to help maintain bath temp.

If I'm not mistaken, the idea of the misting ball is to reduce the surface area exposed to air.
In hydroponic gardening, using styrofoam over the tanks reduces the surface of the water exposed to air - reducing the exposed area that can evaporate.
