WANTED: Silver Electroforming from Wax Models

I'm looking to outsource my electroforming needs. The platers that I use don't do sterling/fine silver electroforming (out of my wax models, or any other type for that matter) and I'm really at a loss to find someone who is knowledgable in doing this. I work another job beyond my jewelry designing and I could really use someone who works in this area already.

If I can't find someone I may have to rework my current model for casting, and it'd be ridiculously heavy. So please, send me some references or other ideas!

Susan, I think there's a yahoo group for electroforming, you might find someone there to do it. I could be wrong, but I don't think there's too many people on this forum doing electroforming.

I've seen many people copper electroforming and then plating silver on it, something to consider also.

Thanks for the Yahoo group referral James. I've signed up so hopefully I can make some headway there.

I would certainly consider the copper electroforming and then plating silver on top, as that's what most seem to do on this forum when they talk about electroforming. I'm sure that would suit my purposes well.
