Glisten PC

I am begining a car restoration project. I have ordered the pot metal primer and the copy chrome kits but reading the manuals I believe I am going to need alot!! more supplies. Has anyone tried to do a thin .25 plate and Glisten PC instead of the heavy 1. plate for exterior trim and mouldings?
