wow...sounds like you guys had a bad experience. I know nothing of this situation, but I had a similar problem a couple of years back with a software wholesaler. I was buying on average of $500-600 every 10 days or so for resale. I live in Canada and was buying from South Carolina. It was a sideline business and it was starting to look like I could possible quit my job and make a nice living from it when I received my first big order for MS Office. The order was for over $10k US to upgrade all systems in a huge manufacturing company that was local to me. My profit was a bit over $4k US. I tranfered the funds to the supplier and then recieved an email telling me that he did not have the complete order in stock, and that it could possibly take up to 2 weeks to receive. I should have had some doubt, but I was buying from this guy for 10 months or so with no problem. So I waited 2 weeks...no news. I called after 2 weeks and was told they should be available in the next couple of days and I would be notified. Couple of days later, no news. Called again...number not in service. No reply to emails either. It was a good thing I never spend my profit before the sales is complete because I at least had $4k to give back to my customer. I contacted the BBB and the South Carolina State Police and filed a complaint a one Frank Warren. Mr. Warren ended up being a Mr. Chang..or Chong...or Ching...something like that. He was never located or arrested. As for quitting my job to sell software? Damn...I just got finished doing a chit load of overtime to pay back what I lost, let alone quit my job. Lesson learned? Damn straight! I won't make another major purchase online unless there are forums like this to be able to know who I am dealing with. I have no doubt about Caswell after reading these forums. It is unfortunate my very first post is about such a negative topic. Now if you will excuse me, I will be off to much more pleasant and informative topics. Good luck with your situation.

Default Hobby Plating

Well, add me to the list...

I only was taken for $1,000 - I didn't see any negative news on him until it was too late...

He has until Wednesday...

His problem is I'm a retired Police Detective Sergeant from NJ, only 1 1/2 hours away so next week, I'm driving to MD to sign an arrest warrant with Trooper Peterson (I already spoke with him), Stopping by the Newark NJ FBI office and meeting with Special Agent Beneducci for a wire fraud complaint and then going to look for my money...

If anyone has anything I can do to help them, please let me know... I'm taking donations for the "We want to have a talk" foundation ...

I'm sure a couple hunderd dollars tossed around to his fellow crack heads will lead us right to him...

what is the deal with this place? are they cons or what? i just sent a $500 deposit there for equipment 2 weeks ago. i did not see this post until today. when i sent the deposit i also did a search on the BBB and found nothing. i did several internet searches as well and they seemed to be a reputable place. how can they still be operating if this has been going on since last year? is it safe to say that my money is lost?

jmrracing324, please let me know how this turns out. i either want to get my money back (probably not going to happen) or for them to face the consequences for this. i didn't lose that much money but it is the principle, plus i wasted over a month looking to get my shop set up. i am glad that i saw this now though, i would have really been mad if i got my building all set up and found out that this dude did not have my equipment.

thanks

Hi Ryan319,

I'm still in contact with him (as of yesterday) but I'm sure the money is gone...

I'm setting up an anodizing line with 60 gallon tanks and "he had exactly what I needed"... The guy sounds like he really knows his stuff and would probably make a great living if he would just deliver what he promises..

I've been waiting for 3 weeks and I really need to put the line in...

He tells me he'll call me Monday to get everything straightened out... but I'm not buying it... I'll believe it when I see it...

I'll be the first to post that he took care of everything if he does... but after everything I have read... I'm not buying it...

I wish I saw this board before I called him!

jmrracing324,
I have also been in contact with him. I requested a refund of the deposit that I put down on a 100 gallon plating line because the building that I was going to use fell through. Even if he is turned around I still would be leary of doing business with them. He claimed that we would send my deposit back by the end of the week, so we will see what happens. The guy does sound like he know his stuff but you can never really tell. Keep me posted of your progress and I will do the same.
Thanks
