Default what will i need exactly to chrome this

ok i'm so new to this. I wanted to chrome two types of material, plastic, and metal. but i dont' know wat i want. see i think i'll only need a two gallon kit. but not really sure which one. i have the links to the thinks i would like to chrome:

http://davesmotors.safeshopper.com/6/100.htm?385

http://davesmotors.safeshopper.com/6/129.htm?385

http://davesmotors.safeshopper.com/6/127.htm?385

could i chrome them if so, what do i need. i would only need a one gallon to finish those. but what should i get. and i know i will need conductive powder or material for the plastic.

and, could i mask parts i don' want chromed to save more of my chrome?

and how many of those of the second link can I make from a one gallon kit.

thanks so much.

Some questions for you:

1. How big are these parts?
2. What are they made of?
3. Do you want real chrome or imitation chrome?

If you want real chrome, you'll be looking at a Triple Chrome Plating Kit.

Yes, you can mask parts with a masking lacquer.

Plating plastic parts is very tricky. You should master plating metallic objects first, before attempting plastic.

the parts aren't that big. enough for a one gallon tank to cover it fully

they are made out of plastic, metal, aluminum

and i want real chrome. but the other thread i made you said that the triple chrome kit only included copper. i mean i'm not trying to fix anything. just want to chrome these parts (the links are included) but there is a difference in quality from triple and combo kit? so i should acctually copper plate the item and then nikel plate an dthen chrome? so that will be like professional. thanks a lot.

They're aluminum?

Then you'll need a Two gallon Triple Chrome Kit and some Zincate Solution. The zincate allows you to plate aluminum parts.

The triple chrome kit includes copper, as well as nickel and chrome. If you want a professional chrome plate, you should copper plate in addition to the nickel and chrome.

The complete process to plate an aluminum part would be:

1. Polish part to high shine
2. Zincate the part
3. Nickel plate
4. Buff the part to a high shine
5. Copper plate
6. Buff to a high shine
7. Nickel plate
8. Buff to a high shine
9. Chrome plate
10. Buff to a high shine

Also, take heed of my warning about plating plastic. It is NOT EASY.

Yes, I would get the Triple Chrome Kit.

You may save a few bucks today by buying the nickel/chrome combo, but I think you'll appreciate having the copper plating available and will turn out a better finished product.
