Question on gold plating brass.
I do my own sand molds and brass casting and was wondering how the results would be by going straight to the brass with a gold plate? I made some brass items I'd like to gold plate. What type of results would be obtained by skipping the nickle plate? Or would it just be best to go with the extra step. JR

Not a good idea. The brass will 'bleed' through a gold plate and go green. "Fool's Gold'
 ?

do as caswell says and nickel plate before gold plating, brass is simple to nickel plate,check the album section above my items there are brass and then nickel plated and then brush plated with fastgold.
