Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year to all platers and their families. Simple (hopefully) question: I go through quite a few zinc anodes with my 12 gallon Copy Cad setup, what would be a suitable material to make an anode holder. I just want to slide in a new anode when one is needed. Basically, the setup has to accept a new 4X8 zinc sheet with no drilling, thus ensuring that all of the anode is used. Would stainless be OK if submerged in solution as a conductor only? Thanks. Andrew. |

Anything on the 'anode' side of the tank MUST be made of anode material, otherwise it will sacrifice itself, just as the anode does. You will then contaminate the solution.
