no it cant be plated in its natural state, i supposed you could make it conductive but i dont see the point of going to that extent. what are you trying to do with it??all i use it for is hangers for my anodes.

I want to try to use the EN process(not really a plating process I dont guess)to put a surface on a titanium bolt that will be used in a titanium bike frame. I want to do this to keep from having a cold weld form on the two close-tolerance parts

In that case, why not just use a zink washer?
If you're worried about the threads, use a little teflon tape.

    One other thing.
Though Ti has problems plating, it can be very easily anodized.
Anodising it may solve your worries.

Ahhh OK.. I didnt know it could be anodized. It is the threads as well as a smooth shoulder just below the head that Im concerned about.
Anodizing may be the way I go on it.. Going to experiment a bit wiht different processes/coatings. It would have to be somewhat unnoticeable on the finished product.

You can always mask off the head so the portion that can be seen won't be anodized. As for the threads, you may want to be carefull with voltages and bath times so you don't fall out of tolerance.

check out this link for an easy setup.
