Gold Plating Advice

Can anyone advise me on how I should go abouts doing the follwing using the plug N plate sytem:

Gold Plating over a Silver plated nickel silver tube
and
Gold Plating over a silver plated sterling silver tube.

Is there anyway I can mask of certain areas not to be plated?
