Default Nickel plating to brittle

Can the nickel plating bath be change slightly to make it non brittle. I am not worried about the finish.
Or is there another plating I could use that would take lots of heat and be non brittle?

the nickel plating should be a permenant bond so if you are seeing flaking or peeling the only 2 things i can come up with are either surface prep or plating with too many amps. i havent tried to heat anything i have plated but since you brought it up im gonna place something in an oven to around 500 degress just to see what happens----

It works well, but too brittle, I need a softer nickel plating.

have you thought about using a wax mold and then just melting the wax away after plating??

I'd suggest you spell out exactly what you are trying to achieve here.

"lots of heat" and "non brittle" are rather vague statements.
