After shaking up, most of the gold came off the bottle and settled to bottom. I now have a light green liquid with what looks like flakes of gold leaf on bottom. Is there a way to put the gold back into solution or should I write it off as a bad buy. Thanks, Jerry |

1 gm gold chloride
75 gm sodium phosphate 2,5 gm sodium sulphite 1 lit de-ionised water I have had the same problem and although posted a long time ago (and tonight too), I never had a reply. the items above however will make a brush plating solution for pure gold that works well apparently. Just need to only make up as much as can use in a few months - as it too "goes off". Mark |

I too have seen this "recipe" for a gold plating solution. I actually made some up, and it worked pretty well. BUT, I did get a brown precipitant out of solution when mixed. Anyone know what that might be? I'm thinking it might be elemental sulfer.
