Hello, I have a Copy Cad kit that I have used with incredible results. No problems at all. My question is, does the electrolyte and cleaning solution go bad with time? My solutions have been stored in sealed containers for about a year and I am ready to use them again. Will this create a problem? Thanks

Hello,
I'm not sure I know what you mean by electrolyte and I don't know what cleaning solution you are using. The plating solutions tend to hold up fairly well if they are in closed, relatively airtight containers. To be safe, I'd recommend checking the pH and adjusting it if necessary as instructed by Caswell. With respect to the cleaning solutions--if you're referring to SP Degreaser, don't even worry about it. Just dump it and replace it. It's the cheapest insurance you can buy, and it doesn't hurt to replenish it periodically anyhow. Ken |
