Default Did I mess up my nickel bath?

I made a mistake and I hope that it is not fatal. I was dummying my nickel bath, and after about two hours, I realized that I had the leads reversed. I immediately shut everything down and pulled all out of the bath. The anodes were all nasty looking with coral type growth on it. Did I mess up the nickel bath?

Thanks
Shevalik

I dont think anything is fatal, its just how much you want to do to bring it back
If I were you I would dummy the bath back to the way it should be. You have a lot of metal from the dummy in the bath now, so you will have to dummy it the right way for quite a bit now.
Scrub the anodes clean prior to dummying though.
Filter the bath through a coffee filter to get the grunt out of it. Your probably going to have to get some new anodes after your done dummying because you will eat them up.
Hope this helps.

Thanks,

I have been using a battery charger so far. As soon as I get my rectifier in, I plan on dummying the bath the correct way.
