Handgun refinishing
 Greetings - I am new to metal finishing, but am willing to learn with some good advice. My first intended project may be too difficult (I value opinions), but I want to take my nickel plated Browning BDA 380 (it came highly polished. Made by 'Beretta' folks) and put Black Krome on the frame and slide and use Gold on the small parts (trigger, hammer, pins, etc.). Can I use a Plug-N-Plate kit for the Black Krome and P-n-P kit for the Gold? Will I need to 'activate' the nickel on each part prior to beginning? Experienced thoughts and opinions are appreciated. Just to finish the mental picture - I intend to use white grips to finish the 'dress'. Did I hear someone say 'shades of new Orleans pimp'?Thanks
