plating pot metal
 I would like all the information I can get on plating pot metal with the copy chrome kit with the addition of a flash copper/nickel combo kit. Should I use pot metal primer, or silva spray, or both combined? And what is the best way to prep the pieces?

Don't use SilvaSpray on the pot metal. Follow the post on pot metal. There is an extensive tutorial there on how to do this work. You'll need to be patient and don't deviate from what is suggested. Much experimentation has gone into what is in those posts, and believe me pot metal is a significant challenge if you do not follow the posts.
