Black Krome finish on Pot Metal

What's the best way for an inexperienced plater like myself to get a good black krome finish on some smallish (4"x3"x1") pot metal parts? Electroless nickel then the black krome? Copper then nickel then black krome?

Any help would be, well, helpful.
