I have a triple chrome and zinc plating set up I use occasionally. What should I do with the anodes between jobs? Can I leave them in the bath? The chrome anode gets covered in a yellow film pretty fast. Does that hurt? Should it be cleaned? Couldn't find any info in the manual.

Help appreciated.

Greg

It's a pain in the a........ but you should remove them, rinse, let dry and store them so dust and dirt doesn't collect on them. It's ok to leave them in for a day or two. The yellow film on the chrome anode will eventually prevent it from plating, scrub it off with a scotchbrite pad. The manual tells you how to form a protective brown film that will prevent the yellow from forming.

I have never heard of the protective layer for the lead, but if it is true I realy would like to try it.

I find it helpfull to read through the manual from time to time. There is a lot of info in there. Somethings are just mentioned in an off hand manor, but it's really important information.
