Default plug N' plate kit..

im thinking about getting one of these kits to go along with my powder coating. im doing a lot of valve covers and was wondering if anybody has tried to use one of these to chrome the letters out.. if theres any info you can put in on steps to plate the letters on valve covers could you please post..

would i have to sand the letter down first to get a smooth look

will this plate last in the high temps that the coating need to cure

would i have to use the COPPER PLATING KIT then COPY CHROME

Hey how’s it going
using the plug and plate on the valve covers will work but I would recommend using copper also to help disperse heat defiantly get the letters and smooth and polished as you want them to look
good luck if you have any more questions you can e-mail me I have been using the copy chrome system for over a year and have had great success

prep is everything with plating, what it looks like before plate is what it will look like after. Get even the smallest scatches out and polish to a high shine. I agree with the copper first for heat insulation.
