plating only certain areas? - Plating Powder Coating Buffing Anodizing

I want to nickel plate my brake calipers but not all of them, bores and such. Is there something I can paint on rather than plug to keep from plating the SS bores? Since they are micron finished don't want to mess them up with any of the plating chemicals, like pickle. Or by removing this barrier mess them up.

YOu can use any kind of paint I like to use a hot glue gun on bolt holes and different things, get some finger nail polish and try that.

I can vouch for the nail polish-I let it sit overnight, and it lived through 2 hours in a copper tank @140.
