Copy Chrome Question...Please Help

I have a couple of steel parts (small), I am going to copy chrome (plug and plate) them...after I polish the parts...can I plate them directly with the copy chrome? Or do they need to be nickled or coppered first?

Copy Chrome is good all by its self it is not porous like Chrome because it is a cobalt nickel solution
copper is used if the part will get hot (copper disperses heat) or to help protect against corrosion
I have used Copy Chrome for about a year and have plated many items with out copper or nickel
and have had no problem
