Is there a way to "mask" an area so that it's not plated? I have a brass part that has some bare steel and some lead content metal that would need to be submerged but I don't want those reacting and being plated.
Thanks, Scott |

You can lacquer the part you don't want plated, then remove the lacquer with paint stripper after plating is complete.

Hi:
If you do use laquer, put a couple of coats on the part. If you only use one, you may grow little nodules where the electrolytic solution got through to the base metal. 48Buick |
