Brass Plumbing Fixtures

Has anyone ever used the Plug and Plate product to electroplate over common bathroom fixtures. I have several fixtures where the brass plating was damaged/removed by common household cleaners and are now showing the base coating which appears to be chrome or nickel-plated.
I would like to put on a new brass finish without removing the fixtures.
