Default Calculating surface area
When calculating surface area do i need to double it for front and back of item.
eg: one side of the brass sheet is 10" x 10" = 100sq"
thats for one side so if i am using a tank should i be calculating my amp power at 200sq"

Yes you should, unless you mask one side off so that it doesn't conduct electricity...

If the piece is not big I would use electric tape or if its big then paint it with a cheap paint....
