Default Bluing Gun Barrels

I have a 4 Gal Triple Plating System and I would like to blue gun barrels.
What additional items and supplies would I need to do this? I know that there is a hot and a cold bluing process. What is the difference between the two processes? Would I be able to use either system with what I have already? What are the pros and cons of either process?

We sell a cold system. The hot system is hard to maintain and emits dangerous fumes.

It's a simple dip process.

Is the Zinc or Copy Cad Kit a good prep before using the cold bluing or what if I used my nickel setup to ensure a nice corrsion resistant finish?

No. The blackening solution must be applied over bare steel or it won't work.
