It might be possible, try dipping the part in 50/50 muratic acid and water for a few minutes and then rinse and go to the flash coppper...
I had trouble with tool steel, it would not ever plate...

I have nickel plated a number of shotgun receivers including three Krieghoff K-80's which are case hardened. No problem, just followed the instructions in the plating manual.
I plated 0.5 mils (30 minutes) and had very little problem getting pins and screws to go back in place. Good luck. J Gray |
