Hi all, new to this forum and have a question? I want to replate an item(small clock part) and the nickel is flaking off. I believe it's brass(machined threads on the inside) and want to replate. How to remove the nickel that's on there now so I can polish and ready for plating? Thanks, Jerry

Using an acid pickle made from diluted battery acid and a stainless steel or lead sheet, you can reverse plate the nickel. This technique is described in detail in our plating manual.
