Default Different grades of Gold question.

I'm presently re-plating some electric guitar parts gold (24k), something I'd already done a few years ago. Most of the parts still looked pretty good while others definitely needed a re-plate. I chose to purchase the new kit from the original supplier because I wanted the newly-plated parts to match the old parts that still looked good.

Question: Does each company have different grades of gold? The replated gold parts look great, but I recall the very original gold finish (from the guitar factory) looking more 'yellow'. If I order a gold kit from several diffrent companies, will I wind up with several different grades of gold?

Thanks!
Mike

ps. The guitar is almost done. I'll post some pix as soon as I put it all together.

If you keep the same setting on your machine you should get the same look.....the amount of current you use will have an affect on the color.

If you are applying 24k to the parts and the parts that are plated have 24k on them then you should be good to go although the current is important the only time you should get a different look is if you choose to change the gold grade which would be 24k one look 18k another 14k another and so on
