Default Galvanized Steel

Is there a way I could color galvanized steel? ( I sent an email before I saw the forum ) I work wire into chainmail armor and would like to add colors but would like to keep the steel and not have to goto aluminum, is this possiable?




btw love the page looks great and the forums is a great addition, cant wait for a reply so I can start testing your items!

Because it's galvanized, you should be able to chromate it. We sell yellow, olive drab and black chromates.

thanks for the reply cas, I should be ordering some blackener very soon, just one thing hehe you said "should" hehe Ill trust your call but would I need to prep my items in any way that might not be mentioned in the kit?

No - you should be ok just following the standard instructions. Make sure to test it on some scrap first.
