I found this site online. Please excuse my ignorance about this! I have a floor lamp with brass electroplating that's wearing off that I'd like to remove completely, leaving just the silver toned metal underneath as the finish. I don't know if this matters, but it wasn't an expensive lamp, around $75 20 years ago. Can I just buff the brass off? Or would it be better to bring it somewhere to have it removed? What's the cost of something like that and would a shop do such a small project? Thanks for any help!

if you take it to a shop they will buff it off,so if you have or know someone with a buffer do the job yourself. this site will have all the compound you will need.
