Plating Advice for 12L14 Steel ??
I have some small turned parts made from 12L14 steel and would appreciate any suggestions as to which plating to use for corrosion protection and nice cosmetic finish. This steel has some zink in it and produces a very nice machined surface. The parts will be assembled and reassembled frequently so the finish needs to be durable too. I'm new to plating so advice and comments from your experience is much appreciated.

A zinc plate would give the best corrosion resistance. It sacrifices itself to protect the steel from corrosion.
