Obvoiusly, you aren't using our products, so please tell us exactly what you have, and what technique you are using. I presume it's a brush plating kit?
Do you have any MSDS? Can you get any? HP electroclean sounds like Hobby Plating ![]()

Lol, I am actually using your system. What i have done is purchase a used system from a individual. Anyways i have a large setup consisting of four 40 gallon containers containing the strike nickel, bright copper, bright nickel and chrome. I also have three 30 gallon containers containing the zincate, desmut, and strike copper. Everything is heated to the right temp an everything has its own rinse tanks. I have anldonex 250 amp rectifier. The hp electroclean and the metal activator were still in there powdered form when i got them and when i mixed them up. I take it the metal activator has flouride in it? And the electroclean is a soak/electrocleaner? Anyways i have the manuals and know for the most what im doing. My question is if i sand too far into the rim and say go threw the copper. Can i zincate the exposed aluminum and proceed to strike nickel then bright copper? My strike copper tank is a little smaller than the strike nickel so i go that way instead of strike copper with the rims. And what about if i sand threw the nickel to the aluminum? Can i nickel activate, then zincate, then strike nickel, then bright copper? Thanks ryan

Pretty much everything i have is from you except I THINK the hp electorclean and the activator. It containers didnt say your name. The kid i purchased this off of did motorcycles and rims, mostly alumninum so he never really used the flash copper. MMM, I use simple green degreaser, is that good? Its heated to about 90. I have a sulfuric acid bath like i said to activate nickel. And i have a little five gallon electric chrome strip tank, lead anodes, with its own power supply.
