Flash Copper
New to plating, only done maybe a dozen parts. But I have a question about Flash Copper strike coats. On steel parts, I have better results using Nickel as a strike coat instead of Flash Copper. So the question, why use Flash Copper ? What am I missing? Is it just cheaper to use the Flash Copper?

Geez, more than 26 "looks" and not a single response?
While I'm here, would a mixer prop work as well, or better than aeration?

You can plate steel directly with nickel. There is no need to use Flash Copper unless you have a pitted part that needs filling.

Regular aeration is fine dont re-invent the wheel concentrate on issues like proper cleaning
