Default Sould i ad zinc brightener??

I successfully yellow zinc plated some parts recantly, for the first time, im pleased but there is no shine to the parts, they are yellow in color but they are of a dull yellow, really would would like to see a shine to them, question is should i ad some brightener to the solution while im zinc plating?? How much??

Based on your previous posts, I'm assuming that the reason your parts are coming out dull is too much current.

If you're using 5 amps, you part should be 35 sq in. Is that correct?? You haven't said what the surface area of this part is, so I can't say for sure.
