Default Question about rinsing methods and rinse water reuse

How do you guys handle rinsing? Do you use a single rinse tank for all chemicals/solution, or do you have a seperate one for each process?

If using a single one, should I be worried about cross contamination or adhesion problems during plating, and are there any exceptions to using a single rinse tank? I have read that the rinse water can be used as for top up but I'm not so sure this is a good idea with a single rinse tank.

BTW, I am using the Copy Cad and Yellow Chromate solutions so my concerns are centered around these use of these in particular.

Comments and sage advice welcome.

You should have a seperate rinse tank for each solution - this way you can use your rinse water to top up your plating tanks to replenish evaporated water.

An added bonus is that you create a closed loop system - zero waste and no disposal issues.

Thanks for the clarity. That was my thinking as well and the goal I was striving for. I guess I'm gonna need a couple more of your 1.5 gal buckets.
