Another question for someone, (say for example motorcycle calipers ) how would you go about plating? do they have to be disassembled? what do you do to keep plating out of places you dont want it? example ( inside caliper were pistons are?) Can you jus tape those areas off, with tape, or will the plate attack the tape? Thanks for any feedback

The calipers would need to be removed from the bike, but not necessarily disassembled. It depends on if all areas of the caliper will be "seen" by the anode (nickel, copper, etc) during the plating operation. Areas that you want to be left unplated can be masked with one of many types of masking agents, including special tapes. Caswell probably sells masking agents that are resistant to the plating solutions you will be using.
