Default RoHS plating

I need to put a plating on Aluminum that will be used indoors. I want it to look like Chrome, and be reasonably durable in a home environment, hopefully it will never get wet (it's an electronic item) but, I need for it to be RoHS. Any suggestions?

Default Re: RoHS plating

My understanding of ROHS is that it only applies to lead, cadmium, and hex chrome (other materials too, but none that apply to plating)

If you use Copy Chrome you should be ok. You'll need to consult the ROHS law in your region, and perhaps a lawyer, to be sure.

There are no ROHS regulations in the USA at the moment.

Thank you. I understand that there is currently no Federal RoHS standard but the EU, China and several US States either are RoHS or are considering it. I am hopeing to include the EU in the market for my item. I will explore Copy Chrome as a finish.
