gold-plating small electrical connectors

Hi everyone - I am new and not sure how best to get an answer to this - I need to gold plate small (@ 0.25 in long x 0.125 inch diam.) electrical connectors for pcb boards. The connectors are machined brass finished with Electro Brite Tin. I don't want to use a wand - it will take forever - and the plating 1 gal kit is too large. My questions are:

1. Can I scale down the 1 gal plating kit by purchasing say the 1 pt solution and SS anodes and make a practical dip-type tank?
2. What material should the cathode be made of? I could fabricate a bracket which would hold say 10 - 15 wires on which the connectors would be attached to dip into the plating solution - what material should I use for the wires? copper - aluminum or what?
3. Does anyone have experience with how the plating reacts with the heat from soldering?

i think you are wrong saying the brush plating will take to long espically if the 1 gallon set up is to big, look at the fast gold brush plating kits.
