Default What temp for Electroless Nickel solution?

I noticed on the website that you can individually buy 300W titanium or 50W ceramic heaters with or without a thermostat. It says that the thermostat only controls in a range of 110-140 though. The electroless nickel kits say that they come with 300W ceramic (not titanium) heaters. Doesn't Electroless need to be up around 180degF? I am assuming that the heaters will hit this range without a thermostat, but I wanted to make sure. I'm just a little confused by the different information. Can anyone clarify?

The small electroless nickel kits come with a 300w titanium heater. Check your manual. It gives very detailed info on procedure and temps. If you don't have the current Ver. 9 of the manual, it would be worth your effort to get it.

I guess I should have changed the title to my question a little. I am really trying to get more information about the heaters.

I don't even have the E.N. kit. I just wanted to buy some of the heaters, but I don't know what temperature range they work in without the thermostats. The thermostats only work in the 110-140degF range, but the heaters need to be in the 170-200 range for E.N. So do they self regulate up to this temperature without boiling the water when they don't have thermostats? I don't really want to spend $15/yr on the manual if I am not buying the kit. Thanks,

-Nick

The ceramic and titanium heaters are preset for 210 degrees F. They are more than adequate to heat the electorless to the operating temperature.

Excellent. Thank you for the information. I guess I would have to turn them off once they hit the correct temperature, and then monitor the temp and turn them back on if I was doing a longer plate. Thanks,

The operating temps are 185 - 205 degrees F, 190 being optimum. You can turn the heaters on or off to maintain the desired temperature.

Mine must be broken then. Where is this "preset" located? If I turn around and leave mine for a few minutes (more like 45), the solution will be at a raging boil. (692' ASL)

There is no adjustment for the heaters they are set and sealed at the factory.
