noooob Needs advise on nickel plating antique lock

Hi,

I have some Antique tool box locks and catches that i want to high gloss nickel plate (see photo)

What would be the best way to prep these for a nickel plate?

The locks are steel, some of them have a old brass and nickel plating on them.
